The first half started much better for Liverpool who constantly threatened the visitors’ gate.

But, after this case, Ajax returns to the game and manages to equalize the result in the 27th minute.
Steven Berghuis was in a good position to shoot, but he passes to Mohamed Kudus who manages to finish scoring a beautiful goal and equalizing the score at 1-1.

Liverpool could easily have been punished with a goal, when in the 76th minute Delay Blind received a good ball in the area but failed to score a goal.
Darwin Nunez (83′) tried to score for Liverpool but he also failed as he was not able to hit inside the frame of the gate.
Liverpool would intensify their attacks in the final minutes of the match.
Mohamed Salah managed to hit the post in the 89th minute but Liverpool were awarded a corner kick.
Liverpool will play the next two games in this group against Rangers, while Ajax will play against Napoli in the next two games.
