Liverpool and Chelsea have reportedly expressed interest in Brighton midfielder Moises Caicedo.
Journalist Ben Jacobs has announced that the “Reds” were interested in the player, since he was playing for the team from Ecuador, Independiente del Valle.
However, according to him, a transfer did not happen as the club from “Anfield” had problems in completing the transfer due to a large number of agents who were around Caicedo.
Brighton then paid £4.5m for him – but paid huge commissions to agents.
The English club are now expected to receive offers for the 20-year-old in the winter transfer window. Brighton are said to want at least £50m for him.
And, several popular Premier League clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea, are monitoring his situation.
The Ecuadorian’s contract with Brighton runs until June 30, 2025.
At the moment, Caicedo is said not to be thinking of changing clubs. However, he can consider the offer after the end of the World Championship.
Mosies Caicedo has made six Premier League appearances for Brighton this season and scored one goal.
