Carlo Ancelotti has commented on last night’s draw between Real Madrid and Osasuna.
The Italian coach says that “Los Blancos” deserved to win based on the game shown.
Real drew 1:1 at home, ending the series of 8 consecutive victories, while Karim Benzema was the tragic face of the meeting after missing the penalty.
“The game in general did not have a very high pace. It wasn’t a good game, but we deserved to win. There is no pardon. The team is pretty good. The match did not go the way we wanted. These are things that happen during the championship. There are things we need to improve. When this team doesn’t win, it’s never easy. A draw leaves us sad, but we will react quickly”, declared Ancelotti after the match.
He also spoke about the missed penalty by Ballon d’Or favorite Karim Benzema.
“I thought of changing the striker, but Karim has shot the two most important penalties of the last season. He is the best striker we have”, added “DonCarlo”, who emphasized that today the extent of Thibaut Courtrois’ injury will be known, while he believes that the injury does not seem to be very serious.
Last night’s draw lost Real the primacy in the La Liga table, which is now held by Barcelona, ??but with the same points as “Merengues”.
