Zlatan Ibrahimovic is not ready to play football yet.
The Swedish striker had knee surgery months ago and is considering his long-awaited comeback.
Although he is 41 years old, the Milan veteran has no intention of giving up football.
“I want to be healthy. Until I’m at this level, I’ll keep playing and see how far I can go. Until I get results, I’ll keep playing. On the day I’m going to fall and fall, I want the people I’m around to be honest and say I’m falling and then I’ll be realistic. I want to improve every day. I have the mindset that if I don’t exercise hard, I don’t feel good. I think this takes you far, sends you to that level when you challenge your body because it’s about challenging yourself”, Ibra declared for “CNN”.
He also remembers the difficult period he went through before the operation.
“I drained my knee once a week for six months. I took pain medication every day for six months. I slept in excruciating and unbearable pain for six months. I have never suffered so much, on and off the field
Ibrahimovic is expected to return at the beginning of 2023 and aims to help Milan to the next successes.
