Our final installment of the “Americans” deep-scout column for the calendar year tackles the final three rounds of Bundesliga action that took place just prior to the World Cup break. Matchdays 13, 14, and 15 saw extended action for two World Cup bound players, Joe Scally and Gio Reyna. We’re pleased to report in on their latest form, in addition to checking in with Union Berlin’s Jordan Pefok. Players are assigned a cumulative grade based on the last three matchdays. As is the case in years’ past, we’ll wrap up each section with some thoughts on where the respective actors are headed once league play resumes in 2023. After dealing with Scally, Reyna, Pefok, a few words are expended on Kevin Paredes and Justin Che as well. There’s plenty of interest in our final look at this field for the year.
