Manuel Locatelli chose Juventus over Arsenal last year but could yet make a move to London as the Gunners are reportedly preparing to revive their interest in the player.
The 24-year-old shone with the Italian National Team in their successful Euro 2020 season last summer and was then linked with a move to Arsenal or Juventus, as he ultimately decided to join the club from Turin.
Locatelli joined the “Old Lady” on a two-year loan deal worth 25 million euros plus an additional 12.5 million euros. A deal that brought plenty of profits to Sassuolo. Juventus is obliged to buy the player then.
But now “Calciomercato” has reported that Arsenal will start the mission for his transfer again in January, when the winter transfer window will open.
Locatelli is not having a good time at Juventus, as he is now also suffering from injuries. He has appeared in 5 games with the Turinese this season in Serie A.
An interview of the coach, Massimiliano Allegri, may also affect the departure of the former Milan midfielder from “Allianz Stadium”. Allegri had stated: “Juve was thought of in a different way, with Rabiot-Paredes-Pogba in the midfield, plus Locatelli as the first substitute”.
