“The dream ended here, now another new life begins. Over 17 years of career and so went half of my life. It reminded me of my entire career. I’m leaving very happy because I gave everything of myself”, declared the well-known Argentinian striker after the farewell match.
The 34-year-old scored 366 goals and recorded 127 assists in 784 games. He has won titles with Real Madrid, Napoli, Juventus and Chelsea, a total of 14 trophies. While with the national team of Argentina, he was declared world runner-up in 2014 and two times runner-up in Latin America.
“A teammate of mine always told me that you should retire from football and not football from you. ‘You have to stop when you’re still in shape,’ he insisted,” declared Higuain, who can be proud of his long and fantastic career.
