Mbappe has said that winning the Champions League with PSG would make it more special than winning it with any other club.
Kylian Mbappe feels it would be much better and more special to win the Truck League with PSG than any other club.
The Frenchman has reflected on his Champions League hat-trick against Barcelona in the last 16 in 2020/21 and feels it was a key moment in his career that helped him reach the next level. Despite being in excellent form that season, he failed to lead PSG to the European trophy and he wants to achieve this during these years with the French capital.
“I went from being a good player to a very good player. That night when I managed to score a hat-trick at Camp Nou was something special and I was honestly proud because I played with more personality, which I always say,” he told the club’s website.
“It would be special to win it here in Paris. Winning the Champions League, wherever you are and whatever you do, is to win the Champions League. But of course, for me, winning it in Paris would be the best moment,” he added.
Winning the Champions League is a top target for PSG and the Ligue 1 side managed to convince Mbappe to sign a new contract until 2025 to meet that target, despite him being linked with a move to Real Madrid.
“You don’t know what will happen. I’ve never been there but it seems like a place like my home or something like that,” Mbappe told the New York Times, in an interview he gave recently.
The Parisians have started with a victory against Juventus this season in the Champions League and are expected to score a victory against Maccabi Haifa tonight.
