Milan striker Rafael Leao has spoken about his time at Milan and the influence of Stefano Pioli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The Portuguese was transferred to “San Siro” three years ago from Lille for 29.50 million euros.
He has become one of the main football players in Milan, the team with which he won the title of champion in the last season.
“The first two seasons at AC Milan were difficult, life in France was completely different. When you go to such a club, you know that you have to have the mentality of a winner, that many legends have worn that shirt and won many trophies”, said Leao first.
“I have changed, now I consider myself a different person and a different player. The decisive influence on me was from my family, Stefano Pioli and Zlatan Ibrahimovic”, added the Portuguese representative.
“Ibra is a role model, he explained to me how important it is to ask questions, to always stay focused, including off the field. We communicate in every case – not as colleagues, but as men”, declared the 23-year-old.
So far, Rafael Leao has scored 30 goals and added 27 assists in 123 appearances with Milan.
