With a contract until 2023 with Atlético de Madrid, the 29-year-old Slovenian goalkeeper has been considered for many seasons as one of the best goalkeepers in the world.
In order to secure his services, Manchester United would be willing to offer him a salary of €18 million per season, almost double his current salary.
