Lionel Messi has spoken about the Champions League, a competition he said is difficult to win.
The Argentine also said that Paris Saint-Germain’s aim is to go as far as possible.
“It’s an unusual year because there will be a World Cup in the middle of the season, but PSG’s main goal is to further qualify for the Champions League,” he told “TUDN”.
“The Champions League is difficult to win because the best team doesn’t always win there and the little details decide everything. Any mistake throws you out of the tournament. But we prepare for these difficult moments in order to be at our best,” added the 35-year-old.
Despite the investments made in recent years, PSG is not succeeding in being crowned champion in Europe.
Last season, the Parisians were knocked out by Real Madrid – as the Spanish side eventually emerged champions.
