Jose Mourinho was the hero of Inter’s treble-winning season a decade ago, but now he is hoping to get his first career win against the Nerazzurri with Roma.
The Portuguese coach spent two years in charge of the Milan club from 2008 to 2010, guiding the team to two Scudetti, a Coppa Italia, a Supercoppa Italiana and a Champions League title.
His work saw Inter become the first Italian team ever to win the treble in the 2009-10 season, writing it forever in the club’s history books.
Mourinho has faced Inter just three times in his career, all of which came last season with Roma.
These three matches were not particularly positive for the Portuguese coach, who suffered defeats in all three meetings – 3-0 and 3-1 in the league and 2-0 in the Coppa Italia.
The Giallorossi have started the season well under Mourinho and now he hopes to finally taste victory against his former club this weekend.
