Real Madrid ran out 3-1 winners in El Clasico on Sunday, but as usual, the game was not without controversy.
Barcelona club president Joan Laporta was involved in a scuffle with match officials after the match.
Laporta was nervous and entered the judges’ room.
Referee Jose Maria Sanchez Martinez dismissed Barcelona’s claims for a penalty for a foul inside the area on striker Robert Lewandowski.
Laporta entered the referees’ dressing room after the match, to ask for explanations about their decisions.
All this is said to be written by the referee in the protocol of the match.
“Mundo Deportivo” has reported that the president of Barcelona will be fined for the incident. However, as it is his first time in the judges’ room, he will receive the lower penalty of €602.
The fee could increase depending on how the Disciplinary Committee views the incident, or Laporta could face a ban of between 4 and 10 games.
