Xavi Hernandez insists Barcelona were undeservedly beaten by Inter last night in the Champions League third round group stage match.
The Spanish coach, despite mentioning the injustice, which he insists was done to his team, says that the “Blaugrana” deserved more from the game that they lost 0:1 at San Siro last night.
On this occasion, they finished third in Group C with just 3 points from 3 games, beating Viktoria Plzen and losing to Bayern Munich and now Inter.
“We dominated the game. We didn’t create many chances, but they scored from a single shot. They created chances by shooting only from outside the 16-yard box.” declared the Catalan coach after the game.
“Now we have three finals ahead of us. We have only three points, Inter six and Bayern nine. So, we are in a difficult situation, but we will try to qualify”, concluded Xavi.
Next week, Barcelona will host Inter at the Camp Nou and will try to win that game to draw level on points with the Nerazzurri and then try to win their last two games, with Plze? and with Bayern, which by that time will in all likelihood have secured the qualification.
