Xavi Hernandez is shocked by Barcelona’s elimination from the Champions League.
The Catalan giants had a poor experience in this competition, seeing themselves in third position, with only 4 points from 5 games.
Last night, “Blaugrana” were finally out of the Champions League after a deep defeat at home by Bayern Munich, 0:3.
The Catalan coach admits that his team was not at the level of the opponent.
“Bayern was better in many aspects, I have nothing to complain or blame anyone. We are not at their level, they are better, that is clear. We didn’t play well. The elimination hit us psychologically, but it’s time to recover and continue,” Xavi initially declared.
“The season doesn’t end in October, it’s time to celebrate and then focus on other competitions. It was a big blow, we had a complicated group and everything happened. What happened today is that we didn’t play well”, concluded Xavi.
Barcelona will continue the competition in the European League, while Bayern Munich and Inter have gone to the round of 16 from this group.
