Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to sign Borussia Dortmund’s 19-year-old midfielder Jude Bellingham, who could leave the German club next summer.
Borussia Dortmund were adamant that the Englishman would not be sold in the last transfer window, but they could let him leave in the summer of 2023 if an offer worth €150m comes in.
Real Madrid have already expressed an interest in the player and made the first contacts, while Liverpool and Manchester City are both interested in bringing Bellingham back to England.
Now, according to The Telegraph , Chelsea have also joined the race, which could lead to a bidding war that will see Bellingham’s price skyrocket and Borussia Dortmund’s negotiating position improve.
If he does well for England at the World Cup, which he is expected to do, then that could further increase Bellingham’s transfer value in the market.
