Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez says his team managed the game well enough in the 4:0 win over Athletic Bilbao last night.
Ousmane Dembele, Sergi Roberto, Robert Lewandowski and Ferran Torres scored the goals for the Catalan giants, who continue to follow the leader of the table.
And for this victory, the Catalan coach expressed his happiness.
“We understood the game quite well. We expected a very intense and high-paced game. We knew there was going to be pressure on us so we put one more midfielder to dominate the midfield, we wanted an extra player in the midfield. I think the key was that we captured their intensity. Dembele was good enough, he made the difference. The team understood what we needed. It was practically a done deal after the end of the first half”, declared Xavi after the game.
“Camp Nou had to be a fortress and the atmosphere was spectacular. We have to take advantage of this game. We have to play like this, with this intensity, and the points will stay at home. This is the way to go further”, he continued.
