Jurgen Klopp has apologized to Pep Guardiola regarding an incident that happened on Sunday, in the Liverpool – Manchester City match.
Guardiola said after the match that fans threw coins at him.
“It’s terrible. I am very sorry about that. I apologize for that. I didn’t know about that situation. It should never, never have happened,” said Klopp.
Liverpool issued an official statement condemning the behavior of the fans, calling it unacceptable and promising to find the culprits with the help of cameras and ban them from entering Anfield for life.
Otherwise, yesterday’s derby was won by “Reds” with the result 1:0.
