Real Madrid won 2-0 tonight against RB Leipzig in the Champions League. Valverde (80′) and Asensio (90+1′) scored for Los Blancos, sending them top of Champions League Group F.
Real Madrid saved the last minutes to win the match against RB Leipzig.
Real Madrid dominated the first half of the match with possession, but the chances were for Leipzig.
But the first chance in this match met the guests from Germany. Christopher Nkunku (5′) received a good ball in the area and made a shot but Thibaut Courtois made a brilliant save.
Nkunku was going to shoot down in the area where Leipzig claimed a penalty but it was not given by the referee of the match.
Leipzig would risk again in the 29th minute when Timo Werner followed Nkunku but Courtois was again on the spot.
Luka Modric would have had the best chance for Real Madrid in the 43rd minute, but he was brought down in the area and the referee did not think his interference was for a penalty.
The second half also started at a slower pace until the 72nd when Vinicius Junior shot the ball but the goalkeeper denied him a goal.
However, this did not happen in the 80th minute when Valverde scored after receiving a masterful pass from Vinicius.
At the very end, Los Blancos would score in the first extra minute of the match where Tony Kroos followed Marco Asensio and scored a beautiful goal.
Real Madrid leads Group F with six points and will play the next two games against Shakhtar Donetsk while RB Leipzig plays against Celtic.
